The AHX series have been developed with state of the art technology based on the long seller HX series medium speed engines.
Utilizing the huge feedback data from HX series engines, significant improvements of fuel consumption ratio, performance of transition mode at low loads, total efficiency, higher stiffness and rigidity of components and so on have taken into consideration in AHX series developed. The AHX series engines have been working in OSV, tugs, passengers, fishing boats, etc. in the world seas.

The long seller HX series have been leading Japan’s medium speed diesel engines in marine industries and so many engines proudly operated and supported by wide range of customers.

The engine structure is very much simplified due to Intake air chamber, LO main pipes and CW main pipes are incorporated in the hanger type cylinder block and air cooler directly attached to the side of cylinder block. The compact design enables it to have low noise and vibration and to reduce number of components as well as easy and reasonable maintenance.
